Discover a new way to connect with yourself in Hakone, through a special collaboration with word artist JIN. At our hotel, nestled in the serene nature of Hakone, we offer immersive experiences designed in partnership with various creators—each one crafted to enrich your stay on a deeper, more personal level. This unique project, themed “A Love Letter to Your Future Self,” invites you to reflect inward and rediscover what truly matters—through the gentle power of words, nature, and quiet time with yourself.

Take a moment to write the words you once wished someone had said to you—
“I love you.”
“Thank you.”
“You’re doing your best.”
In this special experience, you’ll write a heartfelt letter to yourself using our custom stationery, filled with gentle, affirming words. The letter will be delivered to you during your birthday month—like a gift from your past self You may also choose to take the letter home with you upon checkout, or entrust it to us to send by post when your birthday arrives (postage fee applies). We invite you to celebrate your birthday in a new way—by first being the one who celebrates you. Born in South Korea, JIN is a Osaka-based hairstylist and hair & makeup artist whose work transcends conventional beauty. With a deep belief in choosing and shaping one’s own life—beyond the boundaries of nationality, gender, or societal expectations—JIN engages in expressive projects that go far beyond hair and makeup. Driven by a desire to share freer, more positive energy, JIN founded the self-creation project Homelymade, which centers around the concept: “Create your own life.” Through inclusive workshops and events, JIN celebrates individual values, creativity, and the power of self-expression.
